This article is to outline the process for a Member to send a HIPAA-secure, direct message to a UMedGym provider or staff member OR for a UMedGym provider/staff member to send a HIPAA-secure, direct message to a Member.
1. From any scree: On the left navigation bar, hover over "My Messages" and click on "Direct Messages"
2. From here, you can create a new message, check your messages, and reply to received messages. the red " ! " icon indicates that you have a new, unread message. See picture below.
3. To create a message, click "Create Message"
FOR MEMBERS:
3. Select the UMedGym Staff Member you wish to send a message to, Enter the subject and content.
4. Click "Send"
Keep in mind, you will only be able to send a message to the staff members that have been assigned to you as part of your healthcare team. For example, your trainer that you meet with for your evaluations and training sessions and the admin that enrolled you as a member. You can always request in writing to allow other staff members to be assigned to you at any time.
FOR STAFF USERS:
1. You will first need to select the Member User from the drop down list
2. Select the Staff User if applicable:
This will "CC" the selected staff user that is also assigned to this member on your message so that they are kept in the loop if necessary.
3. Enter in the subject and content
4. Click "Send"
